The joy of cookies

After learning the craft from an older sister, Emily iced cookies throughout college simply because she had fun doing it. Soon though, her skills began to garner her a clientele. In early 2021, she created an icing side-gig named after her toddler, and Yippy Trippy Cookie Co. was born.

Emily is wonderfully talented with a piping bag, and is also a fantastic client to work with. She found me through her sister-in-law, and we had a blast creating a logo together. Emily was looking for something friendly, legible, and evocative of her product.

To answer these requests, I created a logo with hand-drawn typography inspired by piped-icing lettering. I also gave her a bonus set of “cookie buddies” - small illustrated characters that could be used on packaging, patterns, etc.
